Welcome to the Levant Desalination Association (LDA)

The Levant Desalination Association is headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon and
was formally established in early 2009. The organization currently has close to
250 members, who have been active in the region for a number of years.

Desalination in the Levant Region

Desalination has become an increasingly vital part of global water
solutions for the 21st century. Driven by population growth, economic
expansion, climate change, dwindling groundwater supplies and the
pollution of many existing water resources, our planet is searching for
new ways to quench its thirst.
